Takamatsu is the capital city of Kagawa Prefecture, located in the northeast
portion of Shikoku Island. The area of Takamatsu city is about 195 square
kilometers, and the population is about 330,000. It faces the Seto-Naikai,
an inland sea separating Shikoku from Honshu, the main island of Japan.
The Seto-Naikai is the name of the sea, and when saying "Seto-uchi",
it means the area surrounding the Seto-Naikai. The Seto-uchi is a sunny
and temperate area and is the biggest National Park of Japan.
