The chief and the director of our department
Kagawa Medical University was founded in 1980, and renamed
as the Kagawa Medical University in 1996. The Department of Pediatric Surgery
came into existence in April 1982. Prof. Todani and Assoc. Prof. Watanabe
were the first staff of this department. We have been covering fields in
general surgery including thoracic surgery (except cardio-vascular), abdominal
surgery, and urogenital surgery. Special interests are related to the hepato-biliary-pancreatic
system including choledochal cysts and pancreato-biliary malunion. Other
fields of interest include gastro-intestinal motility disorders and surgical
nutrition.
Kagawa Medical University is settled on a hill in Miki-cho,
bordering the East end of Takamatsu City, Kagawa,
Japan.
